Distance

Overview

In March 2020, I participated in a hackathon called the Pandemic Response Hackathon in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our app distance shows users the relationship between their daily activities and moods.

Goal

The goal was to bring public health professionals alongside the technology community's talent to contribute to the world's response to global pandemics. So we decided to make an app that helps you make healthier choices and better handle physical distancing orders by recognizing positive patterns. It's based on behavioral studies on mHealth interventions and modeled after existing sobriety apps that encourage program adherence.

What is Covid-19?

COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, is a respiratory illness that can be spread from person to person. It was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China. The virus can spread between people in close contact with one another.

What is the impact of covid-19?

Millions of people worldwide have tested positive for the virus as of early April, and thousands of people have died, with both numbers continuing to climb. As a result, government officials have required non-essential businesses to shut their doors until further notice or until it is safe for them to open.
